1.1 The Chair welcomed Members, there were no
apologies.
2.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services.
2.2 The Deputy Minister agreed to provide
details on the number of Welsh Ministers who have received specific
training to help them deliver their legal responsibility to give
‘due regard’ to children’s rights when making
decisions within their portfolios.
3.1 The Committee scrutinised the Children’s Commissioner for Wales on the Annual report.
3.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Commissioner with the questions that were not reached during the evidence session.
3.3 The Committee agreed to write to the
Minister for Economy and Transport to seek an update on the
timescale for the publication of the refreshed Learner Travel
guidance.
4.1 The papers were noted.
5.1 The Motion was agreed.
6.1 The Committee considered the evidence
heard during the evidence session.
7.1 The Committee considered the evidence
heard during the scrutiny session.
8.1 The Committee considered the response. Members agreed:
· time would be scheduled at a future meeting to consider the response and the Committee’s next steps in more detail;
· to write to the Welsh Government to inform relevant Ministers of this intention.
